Empress would like to send their condolences to rapper Juvenile. Juvenile’s four-year-old daughter was murdered by her older brother in their Atlanta home this past Friday. Seventeen-year-old Anthony Tyron Terrell shot and killed his two sisters, four and eleven, and his mother, who worked as a sheriff’s deputy. When questioned, Terrell offered no explanation for his behavior. He is currently in police custody, and is expected to have a hearing for this week. The death penalty cannot be considered for Terrell who is still a minor at seventeen.
Juvenile could not be reached for comment at press time, but his manager spoke on his behalf and stated the rapper was “shocked and devastated” upon hearing the tragic news.

The Democratic primary election between Clinton and Obama is coming to an assumed close this upcoming Tuesday. Ohio and Texas are the last two states left with major delegate numbers and both candidates are hitting the road heavily in hopes of rallying voters in their favor. However, Clinton’s team is willing to bring things to a halt with a potential lawsuit over Texas’ “complicated delegate selection process.” Democratic officials in Texas are strongly advising that Hilary rethink this move since the voter turnout is expected to be large for the primary election. The only problem for Clinton is that she is still not sure that the large amount of voters will secure a potential seat for her in the white house because she is tied with Obama in recent polls. BUT for voters who were and still are conflicted about which candidate they prefer, you may have your cake and eat it too—Clinton revealed recently in an interview that there is a chance for a Clinton/Obama ticket, or vice versa.

Federal prosecutors in Baltimore revealed last week the arrest of Ronni Thomas from “Stop Snitching” DVDs that are sold throughout the region. Thomas, also known as “Skinny Suge,” threatened revenge on a storeowner who declined to sell “Stop Snitching 2.” The producer of the DVDs, Rodney Bethea, claims that the charges against Thomas are unfounded because the DVD is popular in the Baltimore region. Several businesses are apparently enjoying high sales of the discs.
Thomas is also allegedly involved gang activity and sells illegal substances according to local law enforcement officials. Thomas’ arrest was in collaboration with a major operation to eliminate the TTP Bloods gang in the Baltimore area. 26 members of the gang were arrested in the bust and could face either 20 years or life in prison. Looks like the mission of the DVD failed.

Television has reached another low. Florida rapper Plies is joining the trend of controversial reality television in search of a love to call his own. He will hold an open casting call for “Bust It Baby,” which will be similar to “Flava of Love.” How exciting…now we can watch another select group of females claw at each other’s throats for 15 minutes of fame. Will they get the booty-infested magazine spread as additional compensation for their appearance on the show too?
