Unfortunately,we must depend upon other responsible, competent, caring adults to help in these endeavors. The dorm parent may be a socially-deprived, psychologically-needy indvidual herself and may need counseling, guidance, and possibly treatment. The past pathological system of apartheid has wrought deep-rooted damages and effects in many South Africans of all races. Oprah and others need be encouraged to continue their good works. People of good will, morals, and ethics, should not allow the blasphemous media and other detractors to bring down the concept of the Academy nor the conceiver/initiator, Oprah Winfrey.
