Why Do Average Girls Hate on Other Average Girls?

I was perusing one of my favorite gossip sites, Necolebitchie.com and I cam across this post. “Lance Gross and New Friend Party It Up In Atlanta”

The post showed pictures of Lance and what seems to be his new “friend” out in Atlanta over the weekend partying together. An Empress spy in the club that night said they looked real cozy and he seemed real attentive to her that night.

As I started reading the comments, I noticed that some comments were negative or judgmental about the girl, claiming that she looked normal and average and was not as good as his “ex” Eva.

Commenter Alex, from whatalexwrites.blogspot.com said it best

“I never comment on blogs but you’re ignorant @ number 1… you don’t know him or Eva personally. You also don’t know how the personalities of these two women differ. No, she’s not a top model type but she is a beautiful BLACK woman. It’s lovely that he is dating her. Looks are not the only think that matter. Not that it’s anything wrong with exotic looking, mixed women but it seems that that is the only type of women that Black celebs are going for (i.e Mario and dumbass Slim Thug). I’m glad to see that he’s dating again…. Maybe one day he and Eva will get back together… #BLACKLOVE”

and another commenter Krys stated

“I can never understand why average people hate on other average people.”

So I understand everyone having their own opinion but why does it matter if this girl is “average” or not the model you expect her to be? As a “normal” & “non-industry chick”, shouldn’t you be happy to see that a celebrity such as Lance who can probably have his pickings of the exotic, King Magazine, model type woman – goes for someone who can actually be you?!. Not only is the girl that Lance is with (pictured above) a natural beauty,(from what I can tell, she’s not wearing much makeup) , but who knows how smart, funny and what other great attributes she possesses that attracts a man such as Lance.

I find that some people, especially women, can be so harsh and judgmental on the next woman without good cause. Why put down or not give the next woman her props when you yourself are not better than her?

Now I know every woman does not think like that but I really want to know as the commenter Krys stated “Why do average people hate on other average people”? This doesn't apply to just celebrities but girls who see other girls on the street or in photos we are quick to say something negative.

The world will never know why average people hate on other average people... Perhaps, talking badly about others brings some type confidence to individuals that otherwise wouldn't have it. It's just sad. But thanks a bunch for using my quote (typo and all, lol) and this is an awesome post!
